Combine the Remote Fraser One day tour with the K'Gari One day tour on the 2nd day. If you prefer not to spend the night with the dingos and you wish to experience the beautiful and remote west side of the island only the locals go too but still wish to see famous Lake McKenzie then this is the perfect tour for you.

Day 1:

Experience the unique and untouched remote west coast of Fraser Island (K’gari) and enjoy up close and personal encounters with majestic Humpback whales.

This is no ordinary Fraser Island and whale watching day tour, you will discover the hidden and remote parts Fraser Island whilst marvelling at the acrobatics of the whales in a comfortable and relaxing way.

Explore the island while bush walking, snorkelling, kayaking and swimming.

Day 2:

Air Conditioned 4WD coach with seatbelts, Wanggoolba Creek, Central Station, Lake McKenzie, Seventy Five Mile Beach, Eli Creek, Maheno Wreck, The Pinnacles and Coloured Sand Cliffs, served buffet lunch and refreshments.

Courtesy picks up and drop off from Woolshed.

Both tours operate all year round however Humpback Whale migration is between July and October only.

Accommodation: Dorm style with upgrades available on request.

I have stayed multiple times at the Woolshed and think it's one of the best accommodation places I have ever stayed in. The lovely couple who run it are always helpful and accommodating and full of suggestions for things to do in the area and tours to book on to. The Woolshed itself has a bohemian feel, with bright spacious rooms and clean facilities. The garden in the middle is a little oasis of tropical plants and a pond with green tree frogs chirping at night. The garden comes with a BBQ area and hammocks! There is a good kitchen with clean utensils for preparing meals too. If you're coming to Hervey Bay I highly recommend staying at Woolshed Eco Lodge

From travelling the east coast, the Woolshed has definitely been the nicest place to stay. Everything is very chilled out, yet everything is spotless. The two showers are large and clean plus the kitchen is super tidy - the family atmosphere and warm welcome is fantastic. So much nicer than staying in traditional accommodation!

Comfortable room and quality facilities, friendly staff and a good atmosphere in general. Good kitchen and lounge, TV and fridge in the double rooms with ensuite bathroom. Clean and tidy. The proprietors are nice and it’s worth a visit. If you don’t have a proper 4WD then consider taking their tours.

Friendly and helpful staff - we booked our tour to Fraser Island with them and they were great. Really loved my stay here. The Woolshed had a lovely kitchen area and lots of greenness, hammocks and plants in the courtyard. Plus the owner is a genuine and lovely man! Perfect for a relaxed few days.
